Yesterday, local residents held a demonstration aimed at to replace suitable persons in the township PDT (People’s Defense Team) of the National Unity Government (NUG). Locals from Gangaw, including those who are involved with local revolutionary organizations, are protesting against the current PDF township administration members.
The main issue is that local people presented their difficulties to township-level to upper-level administrations. Still, people from the township PDT leaders are delaying solving the problems given to them. It is said that the appointments of the township PDT members were appointed based on one individual’s desire. You can watch and listen to this.
