Nine civilians, including an innocent child, were injured due to heavy weapons fire in Gangaw Township

Magwe Region, Gangaw Township, People’s Administration said that nine people, including an innocent child, were injured and a man and a woman were killed when the military council troops opened fire with heavy weapons at North Khin Yan village, North Gangaw Township.

On the evening of September (16), two civilians who fled the war were killed and eight others were injured when the Military Council troops stationed in North Khin Yan village fired 120 rounds of heavy weapons at Me Xun village east of Myit Tha River. “ Nowadays, there are some outbreaks of contact.

People are staying away from nearby areas, and the injured are being treated at convenient places. In the long run, the need for food may increase,” said an official of Ganggo Township Public Administration. The injured included two men and three women in their thirties to seventies, including two girls aged three and 11 and a boy aged four.

Ganggo Township said that one of the eight injured, a 69-year-old woman, died today while receiving medical treatment. It was released by the Public Administration. In the battle, seven people from the Military Council and Pyu Sawthi side were killed and one was wounded by the revolutionary forces. It is reported that members of the military council of North Khin Ran village and Pyu Saw Hti were attacked by the local defense forces while they were digging a trench in the southeast of North Khin Ran village on September 15th.
