On June 4th 2023, the army entered Nabe Pinhla village in Wet Lek Township, Sagaing Division and set fire the village. Due to such arson, more than 100 houses including 2 monasteries and a classroom building were destroyed.
In addition, the army burned a citizen alive according to the Wetlet Township People’s Strike Force Steering Committee. It said monasteries used for education and school building were also destroyed. It was announced that all the schools were burnt down.
