KNLA said the position of the military council has reached to a defensive position.

KNLA Commander-in-Chief First Class Brigadier General Sawtamala Thaw said that the position of the military council has reached to a defensive position according to the military strategy. He spoke during a press conference held today, August 10th, regarding the actions taken within (100) days after the (17th) Congress of the Karen National Union (KNU).

It is reported that Brigadier General Sawtamala Thaw said that the military members serving under the military council should stand up together with people and that the public should also participate and cooperate.
