Shan State Progress Party (SSPP/SSA) announced they would work with federal and pro-democracy forces to build a federal democratic union. SSPP/SSA stated on July 16 after the 2023 Central Committee Plenary Session held from July 2nd to July 15th.
It said that what is most needed for Myanmar is national unity, sustainable peace, and the construction of a federal union that can guarantee equality and self-determination. Finding a solution to the current political crisis and building a future union is not only a group of people or one ethnic group. It is the duty for all nationalities within the country as a collective duty to fix the problem.
People have been facing hardship for survival and development because of the political instability and economic crisis. Therefore, it said we need to find a solution to revive and develop people’s lives.
