Mudon, Mon State, Due to heavy rains in Thanbyuzayat and Ye townships, flooding has been reported since this morning.
Since it has been raining continuously since yesterday evening, the three townships, in some villages are flooded at night, and roads are flooded too in Ye Township. It is reported that some people in Hangan village have started moving to escape from the flood since this morning. Similarly, Mudon Township, Mawlamyine-Thanbyuzayat highway section between Hneepadaw Village and Yaungdaung Village was flooded .
He said that some road sections between Kun Hlar Village and Hpaung Sein Village are also flooded and difficult to travel. According to the Military Council’s Meteorological Department’s announcement at 7:00 a.m. on July 18, heavy rain is expected in Mon state and will continue to rain for the next two days.
