Gangaw District No. (13) Battalion announced that, National Unity Government, the Ministry of Defense had provided them with weapons. It has been announced that they were equipped with some weapons on May 18th after meeting with No. 1 Military Region and officials from the Magway Division Command Office.
In the past, Gangaw District battalion 13 was formed under the name of YDF (Saw & Kyaukhtu) and later split and rename as The Youth Force- Saw & Kyaukhtu then submitted their group to Ministry of Defense under NUG and became Gangaw District battalion 13. The National Unity Government issued a statement on March 29th that Magwe Region’s battalions under the Ministry of Defense have been equipped with guns and ammunitions.
