It is reported that the Chairman of the Military Council, General Min Aung Hlaing, visited Sagaing Region on March 19 where the PDF forces encountered intense fighting, and gave a special order to unite within the army.
After the military administration was directly controlled by the Northwest Military Command, the military columns starting an offensive and continued to burn (villages). The Northwestern Military Headquarters, based in Monywa District, has 14 townships in Sagaing Region.
5 townships in Magway and 7 townships in Chin State were declared under martial law last month and are under direct control by the military commanders.
