US Assistant Secretary of State Daniel Joseph Kritenbrink and the NUG’s Ministers met today at the 78th United Nations General Assembly on September 21. The US Assistant Secretary of State met NUG’s Foreign Minister Daw Zin Ma Aung, and Communications Minister U Htin Lin Aung.
Daniel Joseph Kritenbrink stated on his Twitter page that he met with Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun, including Deputy Ministers U Moe Zaw Oo and U Aung Kyaw Moe. “ We had an important discussion with NUG Myanmar today,” Daniel Joseph Kritenbrink wrote along with the photo. The meeting reaffirmed the United States’ unwavering commitment to increasing accountability for the brutality of the Burmese military regime, according to the press release.
