Nay Pyi Taw, Lewe Township, Tada- U Village in Shwe Hing Tha Village Group, Aung Myin Kone village in Kan Tha village group, were hit by a tornado on April 21st at around 6:45 in the evening and 6 people were killed and 109 were injured according to the Myanmar Fire Department. Due to the strong winds, about 77 houses were destroyed in the village of Tada-U, and about 155 houses were destroyed in the village of Aung Myin Kone, and some pagodas were also damaged.
As a result of the strong wind, 2 women were killed and 48 people were injured in the village of Tada-U and in Aung Myin Kone village, 2 men and 2 women were killed and 61 people were injured. Due to the strong winds, a total of more than 230 houses in the two villages were damaged. It is known that some houses were almost completely destroyed.
6 died at the scene of the incident; 109 were injured and 16 were seriously injured, according to a local news source. It is learned that those injured by the tornado attack were transported to the 100-bed hospital in Lewe Township and the 1000-bed hospital in Zabuthri Township by social assistance vehicles.
