The Interim National Consultative Council (ICNCC) announced on March 23 that 2,774 homes religious buildings, including more than 185 schools, were damaged in Chin State due to Cyclone Mokha.
In addition, 102 religious’ buildings, (12) health facilities; 259 grain barns and 6 other buildings were damaged, also landslides from hill blocked the roads connecting villages.
In the meantime, the statement of the Chin National Consultative Council stated that more than 50 cattle and chickens, ducks, pigs, and goats a total of 19 have been lost, as of May 23, according to the people in charge of humanitarian aid and disaster management who collected data in Chin State.
He said there is a need for rice and basic staple food items as well as basic household medicines for the areas damaged by Cyclone Mokha in Chin State.
