Hip-hop singer Byu-Har was sentenced to 20 years in prison by the Insein prison court this morning, about 3 months after his arrest.
People close to the family said that the singer was charged under Article 505a of politics, but now Article 124 has been added to the order.
He was arrested at his home in North Dagon Township on May 25 after he broadcast live on the night of May 23rd from his social media account about the electricity shortage in Yangon during the military council.
At present, the singer Byu Har is in good health and has been detained in Insein prison.
