On June 23, at 7:00 p.m., U Hla Kyi, a member of the Township Planning and Administration Committee (2) of Dagon Port Township, was returning home by a car when two motorcycle riders fired about 12 shots at the corner of C Block 1 and Sein Pam Road, Yuzana Garden City.
“ When he was returning home by car, two people riding a motorcycle shot him. There are more than ten shots were heard. When I got to the hospital, I heard that he had passed away,” said a resident of Yuzana Garden City.
U Hla Kyi suffered two bullet wounds on the left and right chest and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
