ABSDF Column – No. 12 Battalion of the 3rd Column and the base areas of the battalion in the Chindwin region, are growing rice for the PDFs food ration, ABSDF Column – 3 said that they are growing paddy, sesame and beans.
Three acres for paddy field, sesame and beans for seven acres, and total of around ten acres are used for plantations in Chindwin area of Sagaing region and Yaw area of Magway Region.
It said that at present, the public’s ability to support the revolutionary forces has decreased due to high commodity prices. He said that the aims of the cultivation is to use the food produced for other necessary military work and the purchase of military equipment.
In February of this year, ABSDF Column – 3 No. 12 Battalion harvested two acres of peanuts planted in Yaw area in the third week of May and got 240 kilos of Peanut which can produce peanut oil for cooking.
