Southern Chin State, the CDF Matupi News and Information Department reported that 13 military council soldiers were killed by the Chin Regional Defense Force (CDF) and the Chin National Army (CNA) in Matupi Township.
On March 24th, the No. (304) Infantry Battalion based in Matupi town, about 80 troops, was marching towards Palatwa town with 3 military vehicles carrying food was attacked by mine on the Mutupi-Palatwa road mile between 14 and 15.
It is reported that 7 members of the Military Council were killed. After that, the military council convoy was attacked by CDF and CAN with small arms, killing another 6 members of the military council, according to CDF’s news and information department. Currently, the Military Council Army is temporarily camped in Walampi Village on Mile 18 of Mutupi-Palatwa Road and is providing medical treatment to the wounded.
It is also reported that in the fighting between the two sides, a member of the CDF was seriously injured after stepping on a mine planted by the military council.
