The military council’s newspapers reported that cooperation agreements were signed between the two countries for the 73rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Myanmar and China. Among those agreements, 3 million vaccines and needles worth US$6.9 million will be provided for the covid-19 vaccines that will help Myanmar.
Union Minister Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw and Chinese Ambassador H.E. Mr. Chen Hai signed the agreement. The Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs Minister U Min Thein Zan who was appointed by the military council signed the agreement on the project to rebuild the Aung San Stadium, according to the agreement ministry will receive 2,000,000 Yun for the project.
In addition, the agreement on the transfer of funds for projects to be implemented with the Mekong-Lanchang Cooperation Special Fund 2023 was signed by U Kyaw Myo Thut, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Military Council, and the Chinese Ambassador.
It is also stated that 3.8 million US dollars will be transferred to Myanmar for a total of 14 Mekong-Lanchang Cooperation Special Fund projects. Era’sEye/Photo/MOFA
