It is reported that the People’s Defense Forces attacked and captured the military council camp in Phatha village, 6 miles away from Tamu city, in the early morning of June 15th. It is reported that some of the soldiers of the military council were captured alive and the weapons and ammunition were also confiscated.
In that battle, the army suffered many casualties and 5 PDF troops were also injured. After seizing the war room, when they were retreating, at around (9) in the morning, the military council attacked with two jet fighters.
No members of the Public Defense Force were harmed in that attack. Also, on the morning of June 15th, at the same time as the fighting was going on, Tamu, near the border with India, The revolutionary groups attacked pro military group Pyu Saw Htee Gate on the 14th bridge on the way to Nam Pha Lộn market. During that incident, at least eight people were injured and four were killed, including the notorious Pyu Saw Htee leader Chan Myae of Tamu, according to residents.
“ There will be a strategic attack on Ptha Camp and Pyu’s Gate. Four Pyu Sawhtee can be confirmed dead,” said a resident of Tamu. Locals said that the Pyu Saw Htee Gate, which was attacked, is a building that had been built as staff housing during the civilian government.
Regarding the fight in Tamu Township on June 15, the National Unity Government, The Ministry of Defense and the Tamu District-based People’s Defense Forces have not released any news until tonight.
