According to a press release, the National Unity Government (NUG) provided support to war refugees and those in urgent need with the funds from the sale of the house of military council leader Min Aung Hlaing.
NUG’s Ministry of Humanitarian and Disaster Management project; According to The End of Dictatorship (EOD) program in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and Investment, the campaign “ Let’s occupied Min Aung Hlaing’s house to support upper Burma” was conducted for 20 days from June 30 to July 19. With the funds received from the campaign, until July 26, the war-affected people of Sagaing and Magwe, 1196 households, including those in urgent need of shelter and food, were given emergency food. It is reported that a total of 70,077,100 kyats has already been supported by providing temporary tents and shelters.
Amidst the flames of war, the war-affected people in upper Burma regions are grateful to each and every one of them for helping to continue the fight in the spring revolution, and informed that the donations are being effectively delivered to the hands of the people.
