Bago Region, Pyu Township, according to a press release from the NUG Ministry of Defense, a sniper attacked the checkpoint of the military council in Oak Phyat village at around 4:00 pm on September 12th. It is said that PDF Special Commando Regiment 2 and KNLA joint team went to the military council’s checkpoint in Oak Phyat village and attacked with snipers.
It has been reported that a member of the military council was killed in the process of being shot by a sniper at the checkpoint. After being shot, the Military Council’s Oak Phyat Police Station returned shooting with 40mm and 81mm mortars.
It is said that in addition to large weapons, the military council forces on the bridge fired back with small arms. According to the press release, there were no injuries on the part of the members of the People’s Defense joint forces during the shooting incident.
