According to KNDF’s 2022 annual military news summary statement, 65 comrades of the Karenni National Defense Force (KNDF) were killed while attacking the military council troops. The KNDF expressed that it will continue to fight until the dictatorship is destroyed and the federal democratic union is established.
During the year 2022, the KNDF and the Karenni joint forces were able to conduct 341 battles, and during these battles, 797soldiers of the Military Council were killed and 93 were injured. During the battle, the KNDF was able to seize 33 small arms and 7 large arms as well as a large amount of ammunition and captured 11 prisoners of war.
It is reported that the military council conducted more than 150 airstrikes on Karenni State in one year, and as a result of the air strikes and heavy weapons fired many times, 13 civilians were killed and 64 were injured. In addition, within a year, seven soldiers from local battalions, including the 66th Division, joined the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM).
