On January 23rd, at 11:00 am, the SAC army attacked the village of Paleik Htwi which is located in Chin State, Min Dat Township district No.(2), without any skirmishes in the area. Due to this aerial attack, the homes of the locals and the monastery in Paleik Htwi village were damaged.
Because of the aerial bombardment 2 houses, a monastery and ordination building were destroyed and there were also other injured people due to being hit by aircraft bombs. In addition, they fired into the villages from the top of the Min Dat town with a howitzer gun.
The monastery, which was damaged by the air attack, is also a home for war fleeing refugees. The military council is not only attacking religious buildings, but also purposefully targeting civilian refugees.
The NUG ‘s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement dated January 23. In that statement, the military council army intentionally destroyed the homes of civilians, schools, and monasteries. They are committing war crimes against humanity because they are attacking monasteries and human races with mines.
The National Unity Government has made a serious request to the United Nations and relevant international organizations on behalf of the people of Burma to take effective measures to prevent the military group’s purchase of jet fuel.
