To mark the 76th anniversary of the signing of the Panglong Treaty, the Octopus group and allied organizations joined forces to march and protest against the anti-military dictatorship in Yangon on the evening of February 12th.
Young people shouted, “ Mountains and plains need to unite” . “ Eradicate the Fascist Army” They marched and protested against the military dictatorship with slogans such as “ Our cause will prevail.”
The strike was led by Octopus (People’s Benevolent Youth Organization) and alliance groups such as Myanmar Labor Alliance member CTUM, Basic Education Youth Association (AKALA), Youth Association Of Thingangyun (YAT), and Youth Scout for Democracy (Y.S.D).
