On February 19th, the People’s Defense Forces (PDF) attacked the 80-strong military council troops between Katha and Tigyaing.
According to the local resistance forces, 15 people were killed on the military council side because they were hit by land mine.
After they were attacked by mine the military council army killed two locals from the nearby village of Kalon and arrested some locals.
According to the locals on February 19th the military council troop stationed in Kalon village and arrested and killed civilians.
In the current situation, the Katha Township People’s Administration Group has announced that the military council deployed three columns in the villages of Kyunpin, Taman Dong and Phuet in Katha Township.
