According to Bo Ne Min of the Bo Tiger unit told the news agency that the SAC military troops had destroyed 4 villages and shot a young man.
On January 30th , more than 80 members of the Pyu Saw Htee (military sponsored militia) group, including the Wet Let-based Military Council troop, entered villages and opened fire with heavy weapons and small arms and set fire houses. In addition, a 17 years old youth was shot dead for no reason.
According to Bo Ne Min who is a member of Bo Kya Gyi group told Era’s Eyes news that within the Wet let township Aung Tet Kone village, Thaphan Kone village, Phet Than Gyi village, and Kawtone villlage were set fire on the same day by SAC troops.
Phet Than Gyi village which has 200 houses and Kawtone village which has about 400 houses and Aung Tet Kone village which was 400 were almost burnt down due to the destruction by the SAC army. It is reported that many villagers have to flee to safety. The Wet Let Informational Network also announced that nearly 2,000 local houses were destroyed by the SAC troops in Wet Let Township last January.
Wet Let Informational Network also said that due to the military council’s arson, there are still other undiscovered ruins places in the Wet Let area. It is reported that the Wet Let Area Defense Force wanted to defend against the SAC soldiers, but they had to retreat due to the lack of ammunition.
The National Unity Government’s Ministry of Defense has been personally arming other PDF groups in recent months, but there are still difficulties in some areas like Sagaing due to terrain conditions and difficult for transportation.
