Karenni State. According to KNDF’s press release today (September 4th), Karenni forces attacked military council camps stationed in Tay Sule village and Pufa village in Demoso town.
At 5:30 a.m. on September 2nd, the Karenni Army (KA) attacked the military council camps that were firmly stationed in Tay Sule and Pufa villages. It is said that the joint column of the Central Division-Karini (Kayah) military division battalions and the KNDF, Kalalata, De Moso Public Defense Force (DMO Local PDF) attacked simultaneously.
The encounter lasted from 5:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. More than 30 soldiers, including officers from the military council, were killed, and there were also wounded and soldiers who fled without direction. KNDF said, “ Light infantry (9) under Military Council’s operation center 2, Deputy Battalion Commander Ye Lin Naing ordered the officers and soldiers fight until dead but he escaped without looking back said KNDF.”
During the raids on the bases of the military council, fifteen various small arms, two 60mm mortars, one RPG-7, one rifle, related ammunition, bullets, communication devices and accessories.
Now, the skirmishes are still going on in Tay Sule village and Pufa village, and they are trying to succeed in defending and counter-offensive against the military council camps, including the military councils that are marching in Karenni land. In the upcoming battles, we will fight against the military council with unity and one command and control until we can build a federal democratic union.
