Sasakawa, the President of the Japan Nippon Foundation, said that the understanding between the two armies and maintain the stability period in order to provide humanitarian aid in Rakhine State. It is reported that Japan Nippon Foundation President Sasakawa arrived in Rakhine State for the third time on February 4th to provide humanitarian aid to Rakhine State.
According to (AA) spokesman U Khaing Thukha, during a meeting between Mr. Sasakawa and Rakhine Army (AA) political wing incharge U U Hla Saw Mr. Sasakawa urged the military council and the AA to maintain the cease-fire for continuation of the stability in the state. In addition, he said that he will try to help the children from the military evacuation camp in Rakhine State to continue their education. During his visit to Rakhine State, Mr. Sasakawa visited the Mya Tan song refugee camp, Myo Thit refugee camp and the Tain Nyo refugee camp.
It is reported that the Nippon Foundation provided blankets for each refugee living in camps. In 2022 between the Rakhine Army (AA) and the military Administration Council has a temporary cease fire agreement for providing humanitarian assistance in Rakhine State. There has been a temporary cessation of hostilities since late November.
