The Military Council has announced that if the People’s Defense Forces surrender and bring guns with them, they will pay up to 75,000 Kyats depending on the type of a weapon.
The money to be awarded is 5,000,000 kyats for rifles, 2,000,000 kyats for pistols, smooth barrel gun will get 3,000,000 Kyats per gun, handmade gun 500,000 Kyats, for motars 500,000 kyats, if it is RPG 7,500,000 kyats, handmade mine and grenade 300,000 kyats, for drone each for 5,000,000 kyats, for walkietalkie 200,000 kyats.
The Military Council has announced that those who surrender with such weapons will also be given leniency if they committed some criminal acts. In the past, when it was announced that those who had not committed crimes were accepted, there were no surrenderers. Now, the military council offer money and also leniency to attracted by those who committed crimes.
