Over 370 houses in the villages of Dipayin Township, Sagaing Region were burned down by the SAC troops for 7 consecutive days from January 3rd to January 9th and killed two 85 year old men.
The SAC army torched villages in Tapayin township such as Yin, Sai Pyin, Kyi, Phayar Htwk, Ma Gyi Souk, Sup Pya Kyin, Bote, Wun Yan, Inn Tai Lay, Chaung Nar villages and killed elderly people. Also, according to the Tapayin Brotherhood group 6 villagers from Chaung Nar village and Inn Tai La village were missing.
The army of the military council started an offensive against the villages and, opened fire with small arms and heavy artillery shelling. They burned the villages every time when they entered into it because of this the residents were forced to flee and facing many difficulties.
