It is reported that the military council and BGF troops are conducting offensive attacks to clear the area on Asia Road on the Thin Gan Nyi Naung side of Myawady township. Because of this offensive, the fighting on the side of the Asian Highway is said to be intense. Locals have reported that the sounds of gunfire and attacks can be heard on the side of Asia Road, and the road is closed, so some cars are also stuck due to the fighting.
KNLA and the allied columns on one side and the military council army. and the Karen Border Guard Force BGF on the other end has been intense fighting against each other since April 10 until today. At 7:00 a.m. on April 10, the area where the battle took place was bombarded by aerial bombardment as well as being continuously fired with heavy weapons.
In the Myawaddy township, Karen State, the military council and its border guard force have been fierce fighting against KNLA and ally groups in the area of Wawlay, Kawkareik, Kyondoe, Asia Road, Taung Kyainn, Maekanal, Thin Gan Nyi Naung, Myae Nikone, and Mya Sandi Ward. As a result of these battles, about 20,000 local residents from around 20 villages have fled their homes and are fleeing the war. More than 30 soldiers, including military officers, have been killed and 33 were injured in the recent fighting. KNLA joint forces Cobra announced that weapons and ammunition were seized.
On the side of the KNLA joint forces, 3 soldiers were killed and 5 people were injured. In the Karen State including Myawaddy, during the fighting the military council side has not released anything about the death of the military council members.
