It is reported that the military council has been informed to compile and submit lists of departmental personnel in Shan State (southern) in order to form the army’s reserve force.
A letter signed by Minister of Regional Affairs, Colonel Sein Win, asking the provincial government of the Military Council to compile and submit a list of departments on August 9th, appeared on a social networking site.
Forming the army’s reserve force into a People’s Army, it is said that according to the force situation, the division of responsibilities and in the event of an emergency, they will have to submit to the formation of the reserve force.
Therefore, state offices, Taunggyi District Kalaw District Pao and Dhanu Autonomous Regions are to submit the list of employees (gender/non-police) by district office and township by August 17th.
According to press reports, the battalion forces of the Eastern Regional Command based in Taunggyi are currently involved in the fighting with the Karenni Defense Forces, and there are many casualties.
