According to a press release from the NUG Ministry of Defense, the Burmese Royal Dragoon Army (MRDA) forces, led by Bo Naga, have been supported with 3,18,000,000 kyats since May 2022. Sagaing Region Yinmabin District, The MRDA forces from Pale Township were recognized as Yinmabin District Battalion No. 3, 4,5, and 6 by the NUG’s Ministry of Defense on May 14, 2022.
Before taking command as PDF battalions, MOD provided a total estimated US$24,166,67 for production activities, including PRF through the Ministry of Defense. It is written that the total amount of donations US$28,070 from foreign donors has been sent to MRDA.
Also, at the beginning of the revolution, the Ministry provided 5 automatic rifles and related ammunition to MRDA, and 15 grenade launchers and related munitions were provided through Military Region No. 1.
The Ministry of Defense of NUG said that the No. 6 Battalion of Among the four Battalions of Yinmabin District, the Battalion 6 was equipped with 93 rifles and 7 grenade launchers after the recognition of MOD command.
The Yinmabin Battalions 3, 4, 5, and 6 will continue to be recognized as PDF battalions and respect the Chain of Command and Code of Conduct (COC).
