Magwe Region, Yesagyo Township, according to local residents, a monk was arrested and killed in Kaingmagyi village. Yesterday, September 17th, around 10:00 p.m., a group of armed men came to the monastery in Kaingmagyi village and arrested and killed the 73-year-old monk U Kumara.
The monk’s body was found this morning next to a dam near the village, with cuts on his neck and chest. They said that the monk was not a member of any organization, but a regular resident of the village, and it is not yet known why the organization killed him.
