According to the Myananda Military operation group a 40-strong military council column that had come from Yone pin village to Kyatpyin Village in Matara Township, Mandalay Region for reinforcement was ambushed.
It is reported that the column was ambushed by a sniper at around 11:00 this afternoon while it was stationed in Kyatpyin village. Comrades of the Myananda operation said that two military council soldiers were killed on the spot when a sniper fired 3 shots.
