Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and the delegation led by Thai.Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr.Don Pramudwinai met in Nay Pyi Taw on the afternoon of April 21 according to the military council own media. Within the meeting both sides discussed about illegal human trafficking, elimination of drug trade and arms trade and the stabilization of the border between the two countries.
Along with the leader of the military group, the joint secretary of the council, Lt. Gen. Ye Win Oo, Foreign Minister U Than Swe, and the Minister of International Cooperation U Ko Ko Hlaing attended the meeting. Together with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs were Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Mongkol Visitstump and officials attended.
The leader of the military group, General Min Aung Hlaing, disappeared from public view on April 16th, but was seen again in Pyin Oo Lwin on April 17th. It is learned that the Thai government has been on under criticism for forced to send three revolutionary members to Myanmar authority by the Thai immigration and one of them was killed and two are under custody, within this time the Thai government officials came to discuss about the gun control in the border area and stability in the region.
