Today, April 22nd a CCTV footage of the shooting of U Sai Kyaw Thu, Deputy Director General of the Union Election Commission (UEC), has emerged on the Military Council’s intelligence network.
Today, April 22nd, at around 2 o’clock in the afternoon, two men on bicycles overtook the car that U Sai Kyaw Thu was riding in and shot at least five (5) shots.
It is reported that U Sai Kyaw Thu was shot and killed when he returned from sending his wife to the doctor. The mission was carried out by the “For the Yangon Urban Guerilla Force”, they announced on their social media page.
