According to the upper Burma Pit Tain Htaung group, a statue of a Buddha and some houses were hit by bullets fired by a military council vessel that came downstream from the Monywa district.
On September 27th, at around 9:00 a.m., three military vessels of the Military Council were heading down the Chindwin River from Ohnpin Pier when it fired.
“ Pagodas, Dagoba, and some houses were hit by bullets due to indiscriminate firing by the military council vessels from the river,” said the upper Burma Pit Tain Htaung group, today.
In addition, at 8:30 a.m. today, September 28th, it was reported that a group of 16 vessels of the Military Council from Monywan’s Min Daunt Harbor were heading down the Chindwin River.
According to the group’s warning, people living on the banks of the river should be aware of the movement of military council vessels in the Chindwin River.
