According to the official press release of KNU-Mukyaw, on March 30th , the KNLA-Karen National Liberation Army led joint forces retook the Military Council’s base camp on the banks of the Salween River at 5:00 a.m, on March 28. After a 45-minute battle, the camp was finally captured and 16 members of the military council were killed, 7 were injured.
In the battle to capture the camp, the join forces seized various weapons, MA-1, MA-2, MA-4, RPG-7 60th 60m.m motar, sub machinegun, and snipers a total of 23 guns and 3,360 rounds of ammunition as well as 2 communication devices, 2 walkie talkie, and 2 cell phones. It was announced that 4 cans of batteries and military pants were seized.
During the battle, one member of the KNLA-Karen National Liberation Army was killed and 8 others were injured.
