According to the National Unity Government (NUG) Defense Ministry’s office of military headquarters announced that 63 soldiers of the Military Council were killed and 80 were injured in a battle between the Pakokku district PDF battalions and the Military Council army last July.
People’s Defense Force (PDF) Pakokku District Battalion No. (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) (8) (10) (11) (12) (19) Battalions and the Military Council’s Division (55) Division (77) Division (99), Division (101) No. (22) Defense Equipment Manufacturing Factory Light Infantry (258), Light Infantry (251), and Pro-military council Phyu militia group participated in the fighting.
It is said that there have been 20 fights between military council troops and PDFs in Myaing Township, Yesagyo Township, Pauk Township, Pakokku Township, Saw Township, and Salingyi Township.
