On December 26th at 1:55pm in the afternoon, the Military Council launched an air attack on Nyaungkan village in Saw Township without any reason. As a result of the shooting, four local residents lost their lives and seven were injured, according to the local residents.

A local who assisted in the incident said that four of the seven residents were seriously injured and had to be rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Regarding the airstrikes, a resident said, “ Without a marching to our area, I didn’t hear the sound of the planes. I heard the explosions first, and then I heard the planes. That’s when I knew I was under air attack. The second time, I heard the sound of machine guns, and I saw jet fighters and smoke. I thought they were coming to my village, but they were shooting at the neighboring village.”
