The army has forcibly seized the power of the country without public support for two years, and has only been able to stabilize two-thirds of the townships in the entire country.
According to the presentation of military leader Min Aung Hlaing to Acting President Myint Swe at the National Security and Defense Council meeting.
According to Min Aung Hlaing out of the 330 townships in Myanmar, there are 198 townships that can be kept stable, and the rest of the townships (132) have 67 towns that need to be focused on security and 65 towns that need effective security measures, the military council leader announced this evening.
The military council decided in Kalon meeting to extend the term by 6 months because the country needs to be stable if elections are to be held and the process needs time.
