Sagaing Region Kanbalu Township, The Ministry of Interior and Immigration of the National Unity Government (NUG) announced on April 29th that the suspects who informed the Military Council about the Pazigyi village airstrike were arrested.
The defendants, 53-year-old Thein Shwe 61-year-old, U Cho 36-year-old, Faw Min 30-year-old, and Yin Yin Win were arrested, and according to their investigation, Pyu leader a monk U Wathawa and Military Council informant Daw Nwe Yin were also responsible for the incident.
The People’s Police under the Ministry of Interior and Immigration, with the help of the People’s Defense Forces, took action to arrest the accused. U Wathwa, the leader of Pyu Saw hi, and Daw New Yin, a former whistleblower (2) were also charged with Section 54 of the Anti-Terrorism Act. The Township People’s Police Commander stated that the case has been opened as a prosecution.
On April 11th, in Pazigyi village, the village people’s administration group, which was formed based on civilians, invited the villagers from the local villages, and according to the village tradition, they served a meal as a charity for the new office.
