In the areas of Kawkareik city, State Administration Council’s troops and KNLA, PDF joint forces are fighting fiercely against each other, and Kawkareik – Myawaddy Asia Road is still temporarily closed due to the fighting.
A bridge at the entrance of Kawkareik was also detonated and damaged, and the People’s Defense Forces were slightly injured, but there were no casualties.
The NUG Southern Military Region News and Information reported that the villagers and children had to flee to safety because the military group opened fire on the villages with heavy weapons. At present, the road is still blocked as cars pass one after another on the damaged bridge near Tonaw Waterfall in Kawkareik Township.
