The Military Council announced on the night of May (9) that if there are illegally held weapons and ammunition, they will issue a proper license. The statement stated that this was intention to reduce the illegal possession of weapons and ammunition and to prevent the misuse of weapons. When applying for a license they will not be interrogated as to where and how they obtained the weapon (gun).
The statement stated that he/she must submit the application along with the weapons and ammunition he wants to apply for. Licenses will be issued to those who meet the criteria, the statement said. The military council announced that the specific period for which the application will be made will be announced separately, and those who do not submit their weapons and ammunition and apply for a license during that period will be identified and arrested and effective action will be taken.
