Southern Military Region. The National Unity Government (NUG) attended the update training graduation ceremony of the People’s Defense Army’s Dawna Regiment in Military Region No. (3). Union Prime Minister Mann Win Khaing Than attended and gave weapons to the graduate comrades, according to NUG press released.
The graduation ceremony was held today on January 17. In his speech, Union Prime Minister Mann Win Khaing Than said that the National Unity Government is carrying out a one-year strategic plan to fight the military dictatorship. He said that “ it has been successful as it should be, and the whole ethnic people of Myanmar are participating in fighting a powerful revolution against the ruthless military council because of this the SAC will terminate soon.”
In addition, the Union Prime Minister and officials take each graduate student to make an oath to loyal to the revolution. As NUG leaders, they are united and ground to earth with their revolutionary comrades. The Prime Minister said preparations are being made according to the major military regions to meet the needs of the battlefield.
The Prime Minister also said that the ethnic alliance revolutionary organizations and NUG are working together and coordinated, and due to the perseverance of all those who are involved in the revolution as a brick to build better world, they will soon enjoy the fruits of the revolution’s victory. NUG announced that 1,000,000 Kyats were awarded to comrades in the Dawna column.
