It said that the No. 561 Infantry Battalion based in Nyaung Pin Kwin was jointly attacked by the 1st Division of PDF Myeik District’s 2nd Battalion and Tanintharyi Township People’s Defense Teams.
“ An officer of the military council and a soldier were killed when a checkpoint was opened fire near the Nyang Pin Kwin Bridge and one was injured,” Tanintharyi PDF wrote.
In that attack, it was reported that the People’s Defense Forces were able to successfully retreat without harm. Soldiers from the 561st Infantry Battalion that was attacked often ran away from the battalion, and this month, a soldier came to Tanintharyi PDT with a weapon and was awarded 36 lakhs, according to the press release.
