Sagaing Region, Yinmabin Township, it is reported that more than 3,000 local residents have been forced to evacuate due to the military council’s column offensive against the west bank of the Chindwin River.
Today, at about 7:30 a.m., the Military Council Army fired with heavy weapons to the left and right of the villages in the Chindwin River. Also the military council column of around 70 people opened fire from the ground with small arms for no reason. Therefore, Yinmabin Township, Sone Chaung, Sithu, Thanbo and KyawHmaw Residents have to flee their homes.
The military column continued marching from Sone Chaung to Pan Tain village and Siku village. Last July 21st at early morning 2pm the military council troops raided Sone Chaung village and killed 14 residents including local defense force members.
