On July 31, the KNDF headquarters announced that the military council army and the revolutionary forces fought for two (2) days in the city of Loikaw in Karenni (Kayah) state, and many of the army’s side were killed and weapons and ammunition were confiscated.
On July 24th and 25th, the revolutionary forces attacked the military council troops that entered the Loikaw side from the Mobye (Mongpai) side, including the military council troops that marched towards the village of Mawchi’s aggregate village.
Karanni army troops comprised of KNDF B/02, KNDF B/14; KNDF B/12; KNF ETD and Loikaw PDF joint forces attacked the military council troops.
As a result of the attack, at least 20 military council soldiers were killed, and five (5) MA-1s, one MA-2 machine gun were confiscated. It was announced that they were able to destroy military equipment and a military vehicle, including two (2) MA-3s guns.
