The Township People’s Administration hasannounced that the military council troops destroyed 100 houses in Kantawvillage and Sarjin Village in Magway Region, Pakokku Township. About 70 houses in Kan Taew village wereburned, and today (January 31st) about 30 houses were burned in Sarjin village.
Residents had to flee due to the terrorist acts of the Military Council Army. It has been announcedthat there are about 2,000 people fleeing from the war around Sarjin Village.The SAC army burned and destroyed the homes of the villagers, arrests, andkillings are taking place in Pakukku Township, and it was also reported that 16 villages were burned down during the two-year coup d’état period.
The people inthe township are in close cooperation with the nearby revolutionary forces, andhelping the revolutionary processes, It is reported that Pakokku’s Pa Ah Pha(Peoples’ Administration Group) has appealed to people to help and care for thepeople fleeing the war.
