Karen National Union (KNU) Kawthoolei Administrative Region, Kha LaeLueHtu district, Brigade (3rd), Mu township,Naung Gone village was attacked by drone twice according to the KNU headquarters. The incident was occurred on May 21st, 2023 around 1pm20min. Because of the attacked one school building, two houses and firewood barn were totally destroyed.
According to the statement, the shooting attack into the village was carried out by the army’s 60th battalion commander and strategist Hein Htet Aung. Naung Gone village has a total of (117) houses and a total population of (782) persons. Until now, the entire village is still fleeing for their lives, he said.
According to the KNU headquarters, 2,1880 people from 18 villages in Mu township have been displaced due to the army’s infiltration and firing since May 10.
