Karen State Cobra Column announced that they were able to capture the Letkhat Mountain Tower military council camp near Myawaddy town. On July 20, at around 6:00 a.m., the 6th Brigade, KNU/KNLA, Cobra column (1), black leopard, and Federal wings joint forces attacked Letkhat Mountain Tower and captured the entire Letkhat Ridge at 5:00am.
It is said that military light infantry 118 and Infantry 8 might lost some of its soldiers and from the KNU side six comrades have been injured.
The joint forces confiscated; one communication device, sixteen 60mm mortar shells, six forward mines, nine car mines, two Jammer machine, two mine detectors; one light maching gun barrel, two 60mm mortar, nine 40mm shells, four G3 magazines, two MA magazines, eight military helmets, three RPG ammunition, one RPG case, 1880 bullets of 7.62 size, 302 bullets of 5.56 size have been confiscated. In June, the KNU announced that 46 people, including a general, were killed on the side of the military council.
